Winning the Talent Tug of War – Part 3 – Macro Trends: A Focus on the (not) so Great Global Skills shortage
Globally three in four employers are now struggling to find the talent they need. The UK is one of the hardest hit areas – ranking at 4th in the world for talent shortages - with 80 per cent of employers saying it’s now near impossible to recruit the right people, with the right skills at the right time. Although the skills gap is nothing new for seasoned employers with reports indicating that it’s a problem that’s been on a steady increase for years, it’s almost certainly been accelerated and further exacerbated by the global pandemic.
